Hezbollah leader says group is in a ‘real battle’ with Israel
Hezbollah is in a “true battle” with Israel and “all options are on the table”, the group’s leader has warned.

In his first speech since the start of the Israel-Hamas conflict, Hassan Nasrallah said the October 7 attack launched by the terrorist group was “100% Palestinian” as he appeared to distance his Iranian-backed movement from the raid.
Nasrallah stopped short of declaring war against Israel but said that a wider conflict in the Middle East was a realistic possibility. Hezbollah has repeatedly traded fire with Israeli forces along the Lebanese border since the Hamas attack.
“What’s happening on the border might seem modest but is very important,” Nasrallah said.
The Hezbollah chief also thanked groups in Yemen and Iraq, part of what is known as the “Axis of Resistance”. The regional alliance includes Shi’ite Muslim Iraqi groups, which have been firing at US forces in Syria and Iraq, and Yemen’s Houthis, who have joined in the conflict by firing drones at Israel.
