This is round 8 of the 2009 Lucas Oil 450cc AMA Pro Motocross Championship from Washougal Motocross Park in Washougal, WA.

Returning contenders like 450cc rookies Ryan Villopoto and Josh Grant, Tim Ferry, Ivan Tedesco, Andrew Short, 450cc sophomore Josh Hill, Mike Alessi, Michael Byrne, Davi Millsaps, 2009 Supercross runner-up Chad Reed, and others battle it out for the 2009 Lucas Oil 450cc AMA Pro Motocross Championship. Supercross runner-up Chad Reed makes a last-minute decision to compete in the Motocross Nationals for the first time since 2006. Candidae Kawasaki's Tommy Hahn finishes an impressive 2nd place in moto #1, only to crash out of moto #2. 2008 SX Lites West champ Jason Lawrence earns his first 450cc Motocross podium after a very troublesome year. Belgian transplant Clement DeSalle shows up for the first time in America aboard a Honda CRF450R and finishes an impressive 3rd in moto #1, along with setting the fastest lap.
