DIY Artificial ice cubes - PERFECT Fake ice cubes. Realistic and easy DIY!

What you need to make fake ice cubes:

TO MAKE FAKE ICE CUBES
1. Silicone ice tray (classic size, square)
2. Rubber gloves (resin sticks like hell)
3. Resin OR Art resin & hardener (Art has no fumes, normal is fine too if you air)
4. Measuring cup (plastic)
5. Mixing cup (paper or plastic)
6. Spatulas (wooden or plastic)
7. Some kind of plastic containers (shiny if you want to pour on them)

TO MOULD & FINISH FAKE ICE CUBES
1. Metal file (long and straight, with a curved back for variations in the ice)
2. Car polish
3. Sanding paper (800, 1000, 2500)
4. Old cotton cloths, old pillow case, something similar
5. Mini drill with cotton polish wheels (optional for speed)

It's all pretty simple, with a bottle of resin and hardener you can make a whole bunch of fake ice cubes. Filing them and polishing them up into similar but slightly different shapes will make them all unique and you'll have some great artificial ice for your food photography or drinks photography kit! Resin is easy to use, nothing to be scared about.
