Wildfire panic in Jerusalem

Israeli settlers from illegal settlements were seen fleeing in panic along a highway near Jerusalem, as wildfires continued to spread across the region.

High temperatures and strong winds have fuelled the blazes, which have engulfed farmland and occupied areas on the outskirts of the city.

On social media, users drew comparisons between the scenes of settlers scrambling to escape and videos from Gaza, where Palestinian civilians are often seen fleeing the brutality of Israeli airstrikes.
