War and Empire: The Debate - Victor Davis Hanson v. Arianna Huffington

Is the U.S. imperial or internationalist? A recent raft of books asserts that we are imperial. But if that is true, are we an empire of good inentions... or and empire of reckless might? Argument roils over the degree to which the projection of our military, diplomatic, commercial, and cultural powers constitutes a new kind of empire. Or in the end, are we like the others? These are among the questions we will explore.
