This was in the India vs Australia ICC Knockout 2000 Quarter-Final match in Nairobi and is one of Sachin Tendulkar's most aggressive approach to an innings as he looked to unsettle McGrath early on and grab the early initiative.

McGrath gave Sachin a little sledge early on and that was the cardinal mistake he made. Sachin Tendulkar sledges Glenn McGrath too - the first time in his career, which completely rattled the Aussie quick and McGrath understandably lost his composure as India gained the upper hand.

McGrath failed to take a single wicket in that match and conceded 61 runs in the 9 overs he bowled. Sachin's genius plan worked and eventually India went on to win the match.

Sachin recollects the incident saying "In the very first over, I stepped out to him. The first thing I said to him was 'Today I will hit you out of the ground.'"
