Senator Afridi Urges Postponement of MDCAT Amid Flood Crisis | Academia Magazine

Former Deputy Chairman Senate Mirza Muhammad Afridi has called on the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) to delay the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) until November 16. The exam, currently scheduled for October 5, clashes with the ongoing flood crisis in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh. Afridi highlighted that students in flood-affected areas are under severe stress, displaced, and struggling financially, making it nearly impossible for them to prepare or reach exam centers. He urged #PMDC to recognize the gravity of the situation and ensure fairness for future doctors.
