Paragliding cobra take off tips - New paragliding tutorial for cobra launch with your paraglider. Cobra take off / launch is great method used for stronger wind conditions or paragliding take off places with not enough place to spread out whole paraglider!
Mission when doing cobra take off is to lift your paragliding wing from the side - more known as Low power zone or wind window! You can use your paragliding, miniwing or speedflying wing for this launch trick.

Keep in mind ground handling your paragliding wing is very important and before you start training cobra launch trick you have to gain general paragliding ground handling skills to ensure you have maximum control over the situation. One of the most important things when talking about ground handling is to know how to do reverse paragliding take off - you can check this tutorial on my channel as well!

Alright so for cobra launch you have to place your paraglider on one side - whichever you like - just make sure wing is in wind window all the time. Spread out upper tip of your paragliding wind and place it along with wind - that way you can catch wind with it later on. Now prepare for ground handling control - grab upper A and brakes. Then slowly add pressure on A to lift upper tip of paragliding wing and catch in wind - whole wing will start to inflate and from here on you have to control your paraglider with A and brakes or rear risers all the time. Fly your paragliding wing above your head (in Low power zone!) And here you go!! Ready for take off!

Paragliding is beautiful sport with endless possibilities but to keep exploring it safely without accidents and fails you have to keep practicing all the time! Ground handling, ground handling and more ground handling to make sure you are always active.
