Alberta update on COVID-19: shift to appointment-only testing – October 13, 2020

In Edmonton, Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta's chief medical officer of health, provides an update on the province's response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. She announces that starting October 14, people can get tested for COVID-19 at the province's assessment centres only if they have an appointment. The move to an appointment-based testing system aims to make on-site testing faster and more efficient, as well as reduce crowded lines.
