The Battle of Matewan: 100 Years Later (Episode 1)

In the season and series premiere of Record West Virginia we travel to Mingo County to take a look at the Battle of Matewan. A deadly clash between disgruntled coal miners and the infamous Baldwin Felts Detective agency that turned the town's police chief, Sid Hatfield into a folk hero known as Smilin' Sid.
