Big Country Fields of Fire guitar tones recreated
An attempt to recreate the guitar tone from the Studio version of Fields of Fire. The guitar (Yamaha SG) was tuned up around 2.5 semitones, and had done tuning tricks like slightly flattening the 2nd string and careful fretting to get the major thirds in tune.
Guitar sound was Line6 Gearbox, and there’s an MXR pitch transposer set to + 12.0 / mix at 40-50% and no regen on the high notes and the second run through the main riff.
The original track is panned left, my guitar parts are to the right.
