Are You Being Silenced at Work? | A Conversation on AI and Worker Rights
Join Lift Our Voices (LOV) for a conversation on how emerging technology is shaping the future of worker rights and helping workers better understand their employment contracts.
Most workers sign employment contracts without realizing what they are agreeing to. Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and forced arbitration clauses are often buried in the fine print and quietly take away a worker’s right to speak out about harassment, discrimination or retaliation.
LOV is working to change that.
This conversation builds on the momentum of federal laws like the Ending Forced Arbitration of Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Act, which gave survivors the right to take their cases to court, and the Speak Out Act, which limits the use of NDAs in cases of sexual misconduct. As conversations around AI and the future of work accelerate, this event will explore how new tools and greater transparency can help shift that dynamic, especially for young workers, lower-wage workers and those without access to legal resources.
The webinar will also include an exciting announcement tied to this work.
What we’ll cover:
How NDAs and forced arbitration still operate in everyday employment contracts
The role of emerging technology in helping workers better understand their rights
Why transparency is the next phase of workplace accountability
What workers, advocates and organizations can do next
