The Doxa 600T collection represents an exciting change of pace for the brand. Instead of the tonneau-cased pieces that are so redolent of the 1970s, this collection skips forward to the '80s. This was a decade that proved significant for Doxa as it was bought by the Aubry Freres Company, a takeover that resulted in a host of new designs. The 600T collection now delves into that era for fresh inspiration.

What that translates to here is a watch with angled lugs and sharp chamfers that hug the well-guarded crown at the 4 o’clock position and replace the well-known cushion cases of other Doxa models. Inspired by these collectible Aubry-era models, the collection expands with six classic dial colours, in a Doxa-style “Superheroes, Assemble!” moment. A choice of brushed steel or ceramic bezel, as well as block-style steel bracelet or FKM rubber strap offers further customisation and serve as the perfect follow-up to the Limited Edition titanium 600T Pacific for Time+Tide.

Whether you choose the black Sharkhunter, yellow Divingstar, blue Caribbean, aquamarine Aquamarine, silver Searambler or the instantly recognisable orange Professional, the 600T is an absolute strap monster and pairs amazingly with vintage styled Isofrane or Tropic rubber straps as we showcased in an earlier article featuring the 600T Pacific.

The ceramic bezels come in a black or navy flavour, with the navy being reserved for the Caribbean dial variant. Opting for the brushed steel bezel matches the classic Doxa aesthetic perfectly, and features the same decompression scale as the ceramic ones.

At 600 metres of water resistance and powered by the well-regarded Sellita SW-200 movement, the 600T collection makes a great proposition at its price point, which is $2245 AUD or $2395 on the rubber strap or stainless steel bracelet, respectively. Regardless of its compact dimensions of 40mm diameter and 47mm lug-to-lug, it sits proud on the wrist thanks to its 14.15mm thickness which is to be expected considering the high depth rating.
