CINESTYLE VS PROLOST FLAT VS STANDARD PROFILES

In this video I compare the Cinestyle Profile to the Prolost Profile and the Standard Profile on the Canon EOS RP. I feel like the differences are pretty big. It appears that you are more likely to crush your blacks and whites with Prolost vs Cinestyle, and even more so with Standard vs Cinestyle. Not only do I use video comparisons, I also use the scopes to show the findings in a more objective manner. The bottom line is I can grade a cinestyle clip to look exactly like a Prolost clip or a Standard clip, but I can not grade a Prolost or Standard clip to look like the Cinestyle clip. You simply have much more flexibility when grading with the Cinestyle profile.

By the way, Prolost is nothing more than a name for yout neutral profile when you turn down the sharpness and contrast down all the way with the saturation taken down two notches.
