The Miami Heat might have landed the biggest steal of the NBA draft in Jaime Jaquez Jr. Aside from rookie of the year frontrunners Chet Holmgren and Victor Wembanyama, Jaquez has been a bright spot for the Miami Heat and is looking like one of the best young players in the NBA today. Jaime Jaquez Jr.’s November highlights can be seen as he just won the KIA NBA Eastern Conference rookie of the month award. Jaquez has been playing like a Baby Jimmy Butler and he has complimented the Miami Heat core with Butler, Bam Adebayo, Duncan Robinson, Tyler Herro, Kyle Lowry and Kevin Love.

After all, Jaquez could be the determining x-factor as to whether or not Miami can go deep in the playoffs and win another NBA championship against the likes of the Bucks or Celtics. The Heat did not advance in the In-Season Tournament but they have a real shot to make the NBA finals because of the great core that Coach Erik Spoelstra has. Jaime Jaquez Jr. is starting to look like a staple of Heat culture and we shouldn’t be surprised if he becomes a real special rookie and sneaks ahead of guys like Brandon Miller and Ausar Thompson in the ROTY voting.
