보리수 앞에서, 존재를 묻다

세상은 끊임없이 움직이고
나는 그 속에서
무엇이 되어야 하는가를 고민했다.

하지만 보리수나무는 말이 없다.
다만 서 있다.
심연처럼 고요하게.

그 고요 속에서 문득 깨닫는다.
존재란 ‘되어야 하는 것’이 아니라
‘있는 그대로 머무는 것’임을.

잎이 흔들릴 때,
나는 나의 생각이 흔들리는 걸 느끼고
꽃이 지는 순간,
나는 놓아야 할 것을 안다.

보리수는 스스로 아무것도 되려 하지 않는다.
그저 햇빛을 품고, 바람을 통과시킨다.
그러면서도 모든 것을 가르친다.

어쩌면 #진리 는
이토록 조용한 방식으로 다가오는 것일지도.

The world is constantly moving.
I am in it.
I thought about what to be.
But the linden tree is silent.
Just stand.
Silent as an abyss.
In that silence, I suddenly realize.
Existence is not something that has to be understood.
Stay as you are.
When the leaves are shaking,
I feel my thoughts wavering.
As soon as the flowers are gone,
I know what to let go of.
Bodhisattva doesn't want to be anything by herself.
Just let the sun in, let the wind through.
And yet they teach everything.
Maybe the #truth is
It may come in such a quiet way.
