We will take you to explore the different areas in this beautiful region of Kazakhstan to see what it is like here. In this video, we will show you some of the most amazing places to see, our highlight of the trip: Where to go, what is Kazakh culture like. If you are planning to travel to Central Asia and have Kazakhstan on your list, this is the travel video for you. Knowing what you can expect from Kazakhstan is important to better plan your vacation/trips. Exploring Kazakhstan was actually one of the highlights of our Asia trip in 2019 - From culture, food, people, scenery, it literally makes us want to visit again for sure. The main first impression in Kazakhstan is that you will probably shock/surprise on how crazy and beautiful the landscape is.

Our top 3 fascinating things about Kazakhstan
1. Kazakhstan is huge! This is the ninth largest country in the world by land size and by far this is the world’s largest landlocked nation with Russian to the North and China to the West. Even though the country is big but there is a very small population of only 16 million people.

2. Virtually nothing is written in English and very few people speak the language. If you don’t speak Russian, at least come with a phrasebook to help you get around.

3. Kazakhs are historically nomadic people, and thus many of their cultural symbols reflect nomadic life. The horse is probably the most central part of Kazakh culture. Kazakhs love horses, riding them for transportation in the villages, using them for farming, racing them for fun, and eating them for celebrations. Even Kazakhstan’s national drink is fermented horse milk many Kazakhs own horses and keep pictures of them in their houses or offices.
Interestingly, it is believed that Kazakhstan was the place where the horses were first tamed to ride. It is also said that Kazakh means ‘a free rider’
