He started his career as a singer for Radio Nepal with songs such as "Mayalu timi tadha" (the first music video in Nepal). His debut movie was Juni (1981). 1982 release Samjhana helped him gain recognition to establish him as a successful actor in Nepal. He has delivered blockbuster hits from movies like industry hits Kusume Rumal (1983), Santaan (1987), Tilhari (1988), Kanyadan (1990), Industry Hit Chino (1990), Trishna (1991), Dui Thopa Ashu (1993), Dakshina (1994), Raanko (1995) Karodpati (1997), Nepali Babu (1999) and Superstar (2003). It is no surprise that Bhuwan KC is one of the biggest influencers in the country. He also has a reputation for introducing and nurturing fresh talent in the industry. He has presented many artists in the industry over the years, and he also makes sure they can get quality work to showcase their talent.
