How to keep your retainers clean for life!

Retainers should be a lifelong commitment. Too many times, I see adult patients who had orthodontic treatment when they were younger and only wore their retainers for a few months or years.

I don't know if this is true, but so many patients tell me their orthodontist told them to wear their retainers for a few years, and then they are good.

No idea how that concept ever got started, but I'm here to tell you that's not true. Retainers are a lifelong commitment. Whether you have permanent, Essix, or Hawley style retainers, you should know how to maintain them.
