Siri will take us to the clouds with her compelling view on the atmosphere, and her call to action on fighting climate change. Siri Kalvig started her career as a weather presenter at Norwegian TV-station TV2 in the early 90s. Together with TV2 she established StormGeo, which went on to become the leading global provider of weather intelligence, StormGeo.
She has since studied physics and holds a Master of Science in Meteorology and has a PhD in offshore wind technology.
Before starting as CEO at Nysnø, Siri headed the research network for clean energy at the University of Stavanger.
She has founded several businesses and is actively engaged in finance and start-up companies within environmental technology. Siri is so Curious about everything, that she even got a chatbot named after her inside the iPhone.
She now heads Nysnø - a part of Norway’s response to the Paris agreement, moving financial flows to promote climate robustness and the move to a net-zero society. Nysnø is a sovereign investment company, 100 % state owned and exclusively dedicated to climate investment. This means Nysnø is unique in the world of green banks and impact investors
