Rheem RHS42 Water Softener Install + Sharkbite Connector Battle

The process of replacing my busted kenmore softener with a new Rheem RHS42 softener, including adapting the copper piping with sharkbite braided hoses to fit the new softener height. While there aren’t that many steps, I really struggled with the sharkbites, but am not sure where I went wrong.
