Kentucky Primary Was Most Expensive in US History: State Senate Candidate

In the closely watched Kentucky primary election, Trump-backed candidate Ed Gallrein defeated incumbent Rep. Thomas Massie. John Deaton, a U.S. Marine veteran and a Republican U.S. Senate candidate in Massachusetts, joined NTD to weigh in on the race. He says President Donald Trump’s influence is very clear, especially in red states. He said that Massie outspent Gallrein by $5.8 million to $2.6 million in the most expensive primary in U.S. history at $35 million altogether, and emphasized the essence of officialdom: being a public servant.
