‘If the story is true, it is obviously very serious,’ reacted the French presidency

The phone numbers of French President Emmanuel Macron and other French politicians are on a list of potential targets of the Pegasus software, Laurent Richard, director of the Forbidden Stories organization, said Tuesday, confirming reports from Le Monde.

The newspaper revealed Tuesday that these numbers, including those of former prime minister Edouard Philippe and 14 members of the French government, appeared "in the list of numbers selected by a security service of the Moroccan state, user of the spyware Pegasus, for potential espionage."
