Hello! Today we are recording a indie rock song with a 10 dollar mic. AKA the "Singing Machine SMM205P Uni-Directional Dynamic Microphone with 10-Foot Cord - Pink". This mic is by no means "good" but if you play to its strengths you can make a decent sounding song with it. You will have to crank up the gain on your audio interface to get any sort of usable levels on this thing. It is definitely a quiet mic. It also doesn't pick up much on the low end. You can offset this with a simple EQ in your DAW. I would recommend this mic for anyone recording rock or lofi. You can achieve a pretty convincing vintage DIY sound with it and its only 10 bucks so why not?
