Building an Operating System From Scratch - Day 0 (got nowhere)

I decided to start building an operating system from scratch as a learning project; I have no idea how to even begin to go about doing that, but hopefully I'll learn a thing or two along the way.

Day 0:
Got pretty much nowhere, kept getting errors, and screen recording cut out around 28 minutes. In other words, quality learning time.
