Return of the Monster Truck Go Kart!

We revive the monster truck go kart! This go kart project is one of our favorites at CarsandCameras. Powered by a Tillotson 212cc engine with the 265 hot cam, this modified go kart has tons of power and torque. We started with a cheap go kart- the “$50 go kart build” kart in fact- and we mounted a fiberglass truck body onto it. We then built a custom rear live axle suspension, and adapted the independent front suspension unit from a cheap kid’s ATV. The setup was amazing! At least until we changed out the tires for taller, more aggressive ATV tires and we changed out the steering box for a unit that wouldn’t make the kart stick to ruts in the trail. After those mods, we had a huge problem with bump steer. Today’s episode attempts to fix it!
