Even though northerners are suspicious of strangers, the danger of the cold has taught them one thing: solidarity. They would never let a stranger freeze to death in front of their house. A cup of tea isn't much, but they'll gladly offer it.

Même si les habitants du nord sont suspicieux des étrangers, le danger du froid leur a appris une chose : la solidarité. Jamais ils ne laisseront un étranger mourir gelé devant chez eux. La tasse de thé, ce n'est pas grand chose, mais ils l'offriront volontiers.
