Goku Versus

STORY (Spoiler Alert)
After the events of Goku vs. Evil Goku III, Piccolo and Vegeta (from the Evil Gokus universe) attempted to target the Evil Gokus position using the portal device to bring him back to their universe. Unfortunately the portal device has malfunctioned, and has begun to randomly target Gokus from every universe! The portal device has randomly chosen an unknown empty universe to send these Gokus to and the massive chaos begins with Goku, Mecha Goku, and Evil Goku.

EASTER EGGS
I put in a few Easter Eggs in this animation.One Goku resembles Goku from Dragonball Evolution. Broly from "Evil Goku vs. Broly" is hidden in one shot. A female version of Goku in one shot. Shadow Goku from "Goku vs. Evil Goku II" has a few fighting sequences. There is a Goku who resembles the Evil Goku made by CrazyJehuty from Newgrounds. As a tribute to him for originally coming up with the idea of an Evil Goku backfrom 2002. Angryboy from spritingonawhim.tk is hidden in one shot, for those of you who don't know he's the one who has designed and created the awesome LSWI sprites. Moku, from Spartan Orb Z (a Dragonball Halo machinima I have on my other channel) is hidden in one scene.

NOTES
I'll first start off by saying I finally told the story I've been wanting to tell for like close to ten years. I had his idea that what if Goku encountered other versions of himself from different universes? I just couldn't quite come up with a good enough story or a way to simplify it. So I decided to do it in chucks. First would be Evil Goku. Next I would tell the origins of a Mechanized version of Goku. So now that we've established that there are other universes with other Gokus now it was time to throw them all together in to one animation and start showing other Gokus I had imagined from way back when.

So getting into the specifics of the story, because the Evil Goku never returned to his universe the balance was never restored. So in an attempt to restore the balance themselves, Vegeta and Piccolo (from the Evil Gokus universe) try to target a portal on the Evil Goku who is now in the LSW universe. The portal device malfunctions and now starts to pull all these other different Gokus from all these other different universes to a single universe. Some Gokus are stronger than others. Some are equally as strong as a Super Saiyan in there default form. Others are incredibly weak and so on. Also I should note, the current universe they are all fighting in is an LSWI universe. So this means that they all are changed from however they looked before in whatever universe they are from, into an LSWI version of themselves. For example, The Evil Goku is from a JUS universe. He then emerges in an LSW universe when he fights Broly in "Evil Goku vs. Broly". Therefore he changes to match the criteria of that specific universe. So the first Goku (regular Goku) you see in Goku Versus isn't the Goku from "Goku vs. Evil Goku." He is in fact a different Goku from an LSW universe. He then gets sucked into the portal right before King Kais planet is about to explode and then emerges as an LSWI version of himself in the LSWI universe. Hopefully that makes sense to people.

I started production on Goku Versus almost immediately after "Goku vs. Mecha Goku" during those first couple months and right up to the end, I had no idea what I wanted to have happen to Evil Goku. I knew that all these Gokus were going to fight. However I just couldn't figure out the proper way to end the Evil Gokus story. So I had a thought, what if a Goku emerges from a portal who is so evil and so powerful that it would take all the Gokus to stop him? This would in turn have every Goku immediately stop fighting and recognize that there is a much more powerful foe and it would take all of them to stop him. So how would I as the story teller show that this much more powerful Goku was the main threat? He would be the only one who was able to transform into a Super Saiyan 4. Now I hate DBGT, but liked the idea behind a Super Saiyan 4. So I think it was something new and fresh to add to have Goku and Evil Goku team up to defeat this stronger Goku. In effect though it would mean that when that red portal emerged Goku had to send the Evil Goku though and you would never really know if all these Gokus could have stopped this Super Saiyan 4 Goku. It sucks but makes sense, I wanted to try and stay true to the dbz anime as much as possible and having a SS4 Goku kind of defeats that mindset however it was the only way in my mind to establish how strong this other Goku was from everyone else. I thought the animation turned out pretty solid. The ending was a little short but I needed to finish this animation as fast as possible.
