Aging metal for junk journals and paper crafts

Disclaimer: I’m not a chemist and don’t know how this works, but it’s cool. The bottle of liquid blue I got states right on it, “will not blue stainless steel, aluminum or non-ferrous metals”. It also says “danger” right on the bottle, so please, do not drink or otherwise ingest this substance.
It does turn many of the metal items used in paper crafts from Sony silver to varying shades of deeper gray to black. It is quick, easy and painless. But maybe gloves would be a good idea…. Thank you for watching and happy creating!
