Citizen Promaster Aqualand Limited Edition Watch Review | aBlogtoWatch
Ariel Adams of aBlogtoWatch reviews the Citizen Promaster Aqualand, shown here in the new-for-2021 limited edition reference BJ2169-88E. The standout feature of this specialized dive watch is a built-in depth sensor which allows the wearer to display their diving depth down to 50 meters. This is achieved via a water pressure-sensing membrane within the case while still providing up to 200 meters of water resistance. The watch is powered by Citizen’s Eco-Drive caliber B740.1 quartz movement with a power reserve indicator, chronograph, date, synchronized 24-hour hand, and aforementioned depth gauge. The case measures in at about 52mm across (including the crown) and 17mm thick, though it does wear thinner given the tapering design of the caseback. The dial is topped with a flat AR-coated sapphire crystal, and surrounded by a unidirectional rotating diver’s-style bezel with an anodized aluminum insert and recessed markers. This reference is limited to 1,000 pieces, comes with a diver's knife, and is available for $1095 USD. The non-limited edition models (Ref. BJ2167-03E with black and red bezel and Ref. BJ2168-01E with the black and green bezel) are each available for $795 USD.
