Act 5.2.6: How to Beat the Collector with Four Stars (Using Two Team Revives) [MCOC]

Welcome everyone! In this video you will see how to beat the Collector and become uncollected in Act 5 Chapter 2 Map 6! In this video we are using a team of maxed out four stars to show that it is possible with no boosts on to show that it is possible.

You should use your boosts on Collector to make him easier and you should expect to use two to four team revives on him. I would recommend having at least 1000 credits just in case.

For the Collector, you will want to bring either Magik or Vision (age of Ultron) if possible. Additionally, champions who can dodge supers like daredevil (projectile supers) or Stark enhanced spider-man are amazing as well. However, the strategies we discuss in this video are applicable to any champion.

The collector has the ability to regenerate every time he loses 20% of his max health. The regeneration is not too severe so for the most part I would say ignore this ability. The more annoying ability is his tenacity that gives him a 55% chance to drop a debuff such as stun. Because of this, when you try to parry him at the start of the fight, wait a second to make sure it sticks then attack him. If you accidently attack when he drops the stun he will instant kill you. (Tip: try to not get hard on yourself if you do get instant KO’ed. This is an extremely hard fight and you should expect to use team revives… lots of them the first time).
As the collector loses health, he gains additional benefits.
• Below 85% damage dealt to him is capped at 3% (Not a big deal, ignore this one)
• Below 70% he increases critical hit percentage and armor rating (Ignore this one)
• Below 55% his supers become unblockable. (Basically, unless you are able to dodge his supers (which is really hard) or have a champion that dodges supers like daredevil or stark spiderman you will die when he becomes unblockable. In this case, be very aggressive once he gets above 1 super bar and just try to do as much damage as you can with supers.)
• Below 40% he becomes immune to power lock, stun, bleed, and poison
• Below 25% he has a chance to become unstoppable for 3.5 seconds
• Below 10% he has a chance to start regenerating health and increase armor (if you are having problems with this one, you can always quit the fight when it activates to stop him from regenerating).

At the beginning, you can use Magik or Vision (age of Ultron) to power control him and keep him from a super bar. Alternatively, you could use champions that can stun lock as well. You don’t need specific counters however. Just focus on parrying or waiting for a heavy attack, then get your combo in and try to get to your super to deal more damage. Damage overtime champions are great as well. If he is above 55%, you should take the first super on the shield as you will survive the damage and then can get in another combo. The main global node for this map is called Bane, which creates a curse on the first person hit. The curse will transfer to you when you are hit or within 10 seconds (whichever comes first). You then have to hit the opponent again to transfer the curse back.
