I had the great joy of attending the #darkmojoretreat on Nipaluna land in Hobart, Tasmania hosted by Kerrilyn of A Stitch in Time Hobart and Joanna of Mojo Stitches. This was my first ever cross stitch retreat, and my message to all those curious about attending a retreat is....DO IT! I had so much fun!

Some notes on the beautiful piece stiched by Carol shown at approx 17:33

It is an adaptation of a Blackbird Designs chart from a book called Blossoms as the Rose and the chart itself was called Quaker Family Register. Carol has replaced the wreath in the centre with the lyrebird motifs that she designed. Menuridae is the family name of the two lyrebird species we have in Australia.
