Intake Diagnosis, Psychotherapy Notes & Insurance (Avoid FRAUD!)
When clients use their insurance for psychotherapy (even when you provide a super bill), they agree to insurance accessing their diagnosis, notes, intake assessment information, and treatment plans.
Many well-meaning mental health therapists give their clients a diagnosis without considering the potential consequences of what that means… and MANY of them are actually committing fraud when they do this!
