In many ways, I was blown away by Japanese innovations and technology, but perhaps the most astounding for me was the toilets in Japan. Using them was, at first, a bit intimidating, as the instructions were only in Japanese and I had to try to work out the options from the photos. Eventually, however, I found toilets with instructions in English, and I found I quite liked this bit of Japanese ingenuity. There was a button to warm up the water, a spray to wash the derriere, another spray to do a bidet wash, even buttons to turn on music or make a flushing noise if your "sounds" are too embarrassing. But the most impressive of all? Well, you'll just have to watch the video all the way to the end.
