Brookes Saint Petersburg Speech Day 2022

At the end of the academic year, we celebrated the successes and achievements of our wonderful students. During Speech Day we heard from talented musicians, awarded effort and progress prizes, subject prizes, and individual awards. It was also an opportunity to share the graduation of some of our students. An outstanding event to end the school year as a whole community!

30 June 2022 Brookes Saint Petersburg International IB School held a memorable special event – the summer Speech Day for the children of the School.
Speech Day is the celebration of achievements of the students, marked with prizes and awards presented to the children, as well as entertainment marking the gala character of the occasion. The Day provides a unique opportunity for the students, their parents and relatives, teachers and School staff to gather together, meet and communicate, share news,
have some enjoyable time and join the children in honouring their efforts and achievements!
Since early morning there was a festive atmosphere at School, the children and the Brookes team were preparing for the event and anticipating the parents.
On arrival the parents were warmly greeted by the School personnel, treated with refreshments and light snacks in the beautifully adorned School Lobby and then welcomed to the specially created for the occasion spacious summer marquee in the School yard where the ceremony was about to start.
The ceremony was opened with the heartfelt speeches by the School students Siwoo and Ksenia, and then Head of Campus of Brookes Saint Petersburg Sindhu Varrier and Director of Schools Charley King welcomed everyone and introduced and handed in the awards and prizes to the students of the School. The parents and all participants had exciting time
watching the children being rewarded for their achievements, and listening to beautiful pieces of music played by the students during ceremony, including the great performances by Yeonwoo, Sieun, Alexandra, Youngjoon and Mikhail amazingly combining piano, guitar, vocal and handbeat box, the soulful violin and piano piece by Yeonwoo and Seunghyeon, the beautiful piano performance by Daniel and a memorable vocal performance by Alicia!
At the very end of the Ceremony the Director of Schools Charley King gave an inspiring speech to the students, and the new Brookes anthem song filled the air. All the students had a chance to take memorable photographs with awards, prizes and diplomas!
After that all participants were invited back to School for a reception where they could talk, enjoy tasty food and drinks, congratulate the students and celebrate the end of the academic year together!
