The 2020 Cadillac Escalade Luxury 4WD is a premium full size luxury SUV. Carfluent gets to do a SUV Review on the brand new Cadillac Escalade today and we can’t wait to show you the interior of this beautiful Escalade SUV’s interior.
The all-new, fifth-generation 2020 Cadillac Escalade will launch for the 2021 model year, not the 2020 model year as we originally believed. That means that the current, fourth-generation Escalade gets to live for another (final) model year as the 2020 Cadillac Escalade Luxury 4WD, getting a few minor changes and updates in the process suv review process. Here’s what’s new and different for the 2020 Escalade and 2020 Escalade Luxury.
There are no changes to the Cadillac model line or the mechanical portion of the full-size luxury SUV Review line. Changes to the exterior of the Cadillac EscaladeReview are limited to the deletion of two exterior colors and the addition of a new color.

The new Dark Mocha hue is an extra-charge color on all Cadillac models, except for the range-topping Escalade Luxury.
Inside, the 2020 Cadillac Escalade deletes the DVD playback system with dual screens located on the backside of the front row head restraints as well as the dealer-installed rear-seat DVD entertainment system option. The changes leave the Cadilac Escalade Luxury full-size luxury SUV with a single rear-seat entertainment system simply called Entertainment System. Assigned RPO Code U42, the package has the following features:

• 9-inch LED backlit display
• DVD player, Blu-Ray capable
• Remote control
• Two 2-channel wireless digital headphones
• USB port (2.1 amp) and HDMI/HML inputs on rear of center console
• Sound compression
• CD-R, CR-R/W and MP3 capable
• Streaming available through HDMI and Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA)

The SUV Review package is not available on the base Cadillac Escalade trim, but is optional on the Luxury trim, and included as standard with Premium Luxury and Platinum trims.
Finally, the 2020 Cadillac Escalade deletes the dealer-installed Escalade Noir Package, which was introduced for the 2019 model year and included the following content:
• Premium carpeted floor mats
• 22-inch split seven-spoke alloy wheels with Chrome finish
• Polished exhaust tip

And that rounds out the changes to the 2020 Cadillac Escalade. While we do the SUV Review of the 2020 Escalade to launch in the third quarter of the 2019 calendar year. It will likely have a shortened production run of the Escalade as the all-new, fifth-generation model is expected to launch in the first half of the 2020 calendar year as the 2021 Cadillac Escalade.
The GM Arlington plant where the Escalade is assembled alongside other full-size GM SUVs was recently re-tooled to produce the all-new, future Escalade based on the T1 platform.
