The Lighthouse Keeper Who Vanished — And The Shells That Never Stopped Appearing

In 1987, every single resident of Pell Cove signed a petition to seal a local investigation permanently. No one has ever explained why.

That same October, lighthouse keeper Oren Voss missed his shift for the first time in eleven years. When coast guard officials arrived, they found his station unlocked, his logbook open to a blank page, and a single white seashell placed perfectly in the center of his chair.

Oren was never seen again.

Three days later, a fisherman pulled his nets from the water two miles offshore and found a waterlogged jacket matching Oren's uniform. Inside the pocket was another white seashell. No body. No blood. Nothing else.

Then things got truly strange.

Every single year, on the exact same October date, a white seashell appears on the steps of the Pell Cove post office before sunrise. Security footage from 2004 captures the steps completely empty at 3:14 AM. At 3:15, the shell is simply there. No person ever walks into frame.

The town voted to stop replacing the camera.

Last October, a hiker discovered a seashell sitting on the locked observation deck of the decommissioned lighthouse. It was still wet.

The nearest ocean is now six miles away.

No report has been filed.

Some disappearances leave questions. This one leaves something worse.
