I got called into a church this week, and I was asked to assist in the hiring of a new musician for the church. (I have a good relationship with this ministry, and I consult for them from time to time.)

The 1st two applicants for the position embodied EVERYTHING that you should not do when applying for a new position in any field! They were arrogant, trying to charge more money than they clearly were worth, and had a limited range of skills.
