How to photograph professional football | Sports photography tutorial

If you’re new to photography and want to know how to photograph professional football, then this video is one for you. You may be a seasoned photographer but wish to change discipline and try your hand at sports photography?

In this video, I aim to share some of my experiences from photographing football over the past few years. I’ve been photographing professional football for seven seasons and have been fortunate to photograph the England national team at St Georges Park, as well as European fixtures involving the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United. As club photographer for an EFL club, I have also shot at many other grounds up and down England.

This video pulls together some vlog-style footage from a couple of recent games to explain some of the things to look out for what you’re doing football photography. From tips about your journey and arrival at the ground through to shooting positions, settings and a few other bits and pieces!
