While I finish constructing my Ford Ranger Electric battery pack, I thought I'd discuss some EV topics. In particular, I wanted to explore the idea of mixing battery chemistries, cell formats, or even super capacitors within the same pack in order to provide better performance with a lower cost and weight.

In particular, I am think about the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT's short power boost cycle that appears to be a result of the max pulse discharge rating for the pack. By supplementing the pack, Ford could possibly reduce the weight and cost of the car while offering a boost cycle that provides max power until the car reaches its max speed.
