EXPLORING POKHARA in Nepal

On March 15th we were in Pokhara exploring the area just before our 4-day hike. Pokhara is considered a base for trekkers undertaking the Annapurna Circuit. It is a lovely city that sits on Fewa Lake.
In preparation for our big hike, we decided to start off with something a bit shorter. We took a boat to the other side of the like and hiked up Anadu Hill, to see the Shanti Stupa, also known as the Peace Pagoda. This is one of the 80 Peace Pagodas all around the world and then second in Nepal.
It was built by Nipponzan-Myōhōji monk Morioka Sonin with local supporters. The hike wasn't too tough but only 2 of us made it to the top! At one point Cosimo took the Gopro....the whole experience gets a bit shaky.....check it out!
On our return to the hotel, we found a great learning moment! They were making honey....check out how they do it, our kids tell you all about it!
