US-Cuba relations: Breaking with the past
Cuba and the United States will reopen embassies in Havana and Washington on Monday, following a 54-year break.
The deep freeze dates back to 1959, when communist rebels led by brothers Fidel and Raul Castro toppled the US-backed government, and drew ever closer to what was then the Soviet Union.
So can the neighbours now put their troubled half century of history behind them - including a nuclear missile crisis and crippling economic embargo?
Can they co-exist and co-operate in a civilised way?
Presenter: Adrian Finighan
Guests:
Carlos Alzugaray, Former Cuban ambassador.
Larry Luxner, News Editor, Washington Diplomat.
Marc Frank, Author of 'Cuban Revelations: Behind the Scenes in Havana'.
