Summer Breeze Open Air is an annual heavy metal music festival held in the historic Bavarian town of Dinkelsbühl, Germany.

Born in 1997 in Abtsgmünd before relocating to its new home in 2006, the festival is a heavy-metal international institution, curating a roster of metal that caters for sub-genres ranging from thrash metal to metalcore, from death metal to metal legends; Bullet For My Valentine, Parkway Drive, Meshuggah, and Dimmu Borgir top the list in 2019.

The heavy metal community as a whole draws in from all corners of Europe with 40,000 visitors each year, establishing Summer Breeze Open Air as the biggest and most beloved heavy metal music festival in Southern Germany.

Of Mice & Men is a metalcore band formed in Costa Mesa, California, United States in 2009 by Austin Carlile and Jaxin Hall after Carlile's departure from Attack Attack!. The name of the band is derived from John Steinbeck's novel of the same title.

The current line-up consists of Carlile (ex. Attack Attack!), Phil Manansala, Valentino Arteaga (ex. Lower Definition), Aaron Pauley (ex. Jamie's Elsewhere) and Alan Ashby.

In 2014 the metalcore act from Costa Mesa, California had to cancel their SUMMER BREEZE appearance due to their singer’s health problems, so that OF MICE & MEN still owe you one in 2019. And they will pay you back, believe us! The post hardcore/metalcore unit will make their show at SUMMER BREEZE 2019 an unforgettable event – so welcome them in Dinkelsbühl with open arms!
