Here is a quick and simple video of how to replace the dead or weak 2032 battery in your MINI cooper key fob. You do not need any fancy tools for this process. You will need a fresh battery and the link I've included above includes a guitar pick that can be used to open the case and access the dead battery inside. You will first want to remove the cover on the back that has the large MINI printed on it. This can be done with your fingernail or the guitar pick. After that, you must remove the battery cover by rotating it counter clockwise.

After that cover is removed, place it back over the 2032 battery and rotate it clockwise. After that, snap on the back cover and you're back in business! I hope you found the video helpful and informative!
