My Henna Routine + Discount Code!

Watch what I use in my regular henna routine to get strong, thick, red hair! Continue watching to the end of the video to get a 10% discount code for www.henna-boy.co.uk - the only place I ever buy my Jamila henna from.

My henna mix:

- Jamila henna (Natural hair dye used for centuries. Henna coats the strand, filling in spots caused by breakage, making henna an effective strengthening and smoothing treatment but also near enough impossible to remove.)
- Green Tea (I was inspired years ago by Curly Nikki to add this to my mix. This is excellent for colour release and also helps to stimulate the hair follicle)
- Coconut milk (Natural moisturising deep conditioner. Coconut milk contains lauric acid. Acidic ingredients help the dye to release giving a more vibrant red shade)
- Coconut oil (excellent moisturiser and one of the few oils that can be absorbed into the hair rather than simply coating it)

Other products used:

- Shea Moisture JBCO Shampoo
- Lush UltraBalm to protect the skin from stains
- Tresemme Naturals conditioner to wash out the henna
- ORS Shealicious Moisture Lock Deep Conditioner

Why a metal bowl was used

When using pure henna powder (body art quality), and herbs for hair, you can use stainless steel bowls. Traditionally henna is mixed in iron bowls, as it has shown to bring our more dye release. Plastic bowls are porous and the herbs will stain the bowl.
