I started investing as a student in the Philippines at 18 years old to achieve financial independence. It's been two years since I started learning how to mange my money, so I wanted to share some of my lessons and realizations about the path to getting rich. I'm going to share my two-year progress, my investing experience, as well as some adjustments that I'll be making to my investing/finance strategy.

In this video, I'm sharing how and why I got started with investing and managing my money as a student at 18 to get financially independent as early as possible! I know that it can be quite confusing when you're still starting out with learning how to manage your personal finances. I know I had a hard time!

Even though I started tracking my savings at a very young age, my personal finance journey didn't start until I read Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, which fundamentally changed the way I thought about money. The two main lessons that I've learned are: shifting your mindset from "I can't afford it." to thinking "How can I afford it?" By establishing a certain level of financial education, you'll be able to build wealth over and over again despite the circumstances. There are a lot of money-making opportunities out there, but it's important to start by building the foundations.
