How to set java Path Part 1
** For better understanding and to know what's in the video, please read here as well and feel free to correct me if I am wrong anywhere through the comments section because I'm also learning just like you :) **
Once you have downloaded the required java version zipped file, and on unzipping the file, java will be installed on your system. But if you check for the java version in cmd using command java -version, it will show an error as we have to set the java path as well. If you already had another version added in the path, then it would display that version as the output of this command.
So to set java path, search for edit environment variables, then click on the environment variables button on the below in the opened window, which will open a new environment variables window which has two tables: one of the system variables and the other user variables.
In the system variables, look for JAVA_HOME it would be there if you had installed and added java path before, so you just need to update the JDK path there. Otherwise, you have to click on the new button and add this new variable JAVA_HOME with its value having the JDK path.
