Everyone wants the school to produce better results. Everyone dreams of a school in which there is no avoidance and abandonment and where everyone really learns. For this to be possible, the school as it is today - instructional and colonial - needs to be reframed. To reinvent the school we have, we need to reflect critically on the school we are, thinking about the beliefs we carry, the practices we assume, and the subjects and teaching materials we use. In this talk, teacher Gina Vieira, who has worked in the teaching profession for almost 30 years, talks about the lessons she has accumulated as a teacher and as a student in public schools and points out some steps we need to take in building a more attractive school, capable of engaging students so that everyone learns and develops as fully as possible. Nessa busca, ela se tornou mestra em Linguística, especialista em desenvolvimento humano, educação e inclusão escolar, e criou o Projeto Mulheres Inspiradoras, que foi agraciado com 13 prêmios e hoje é política pública no Distrito Federal.
