How Do We IDENTIFY as Biracial Half-Koreans? (Our Honest Thoughts)

In this video, we discuss how we view ourselves culturally and as biracial Korean-Americans and how we identified as children and young adults. Becky (White & Korean) and Myself (Black and Korean) have completely different experiences and upbringings that has shaped our present day identities and how we view ourselves.

Growing up with two different cultural identities can be challenging for many people as we sometimes feel a pressure to choose one side to identify with over the other. We also discuss how the outside world's perception of us shapes our identity.

We are Skycedi (Cedric) and Becky, a creative couple living in Seoul, South Korea. We are both half-Koreans from the United States with a passion for discussing culture, our experiences in Korea, and creating creative cinematic short films and stories.
