How a VW Dealer Almost Destroyed VW’s Toughest Engine | Incompetence or Sabotage?

A VW dealership almost destroyed the 07K engine in this 2009 VW Rabbit Manual trans 2.5 5cyl.

The poor lady I bought this from took it to the local dealership in Colorado Springs Colorado due to a limp mode condition. They replaced a camshaft position sensor and wiring, then also replaced a leaking Vacuum pump. So far so good.

Well, in so doing they introduced air into the clutch line and told her it needed a new clutch. She felt they were trying to squeeze her for money and instead of paying for a new clutch the car (which she had driven in to be repaired with no clutch issues) had to be towed back to her house where she put it up for sale.

After I purchased this vehicle from here I bled the clutch on the spot and drove the vehicle home. (I noticed while bleeding a large amount of fluid on top of the transmission but chalked it up to residual from a combination of bleeding the clutch and vacuum pump replacement. A few days later it leaked out a massive quantity of oil...
